Our meetings have been changed to the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. Call or email for location as it changes regularly each month.
The other three Tuesdays are spend at area courthouses either transcribing or scanning old materials that we think would be useful research materials for genealogists and historians. We compile the materials into books and plan later to put them in digital format.
Our members will be working on gathering any material from 1881 to 1899 to help in research during the era of 1890 when the census was lost or burned.
Come join us if you live in the area of East Texas.
Please email Patsy Vinson for more information & locations.
We are accepting old historical documents from Texas counties and other States, old photos with history, and other sources of information such as family stories that you might want to submit to be placed on our website for free.
