Funeral Services were held last Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Thelma Faulkner. Rev. Fern Miller, pastor of the church assisted by Rev. Jimmy Allen, officiated the last rites. Interment was made in the Carlton cemetery under the direction of Harrell Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Faulkner was born October 4, 1904 at Carlton, Texas, the daughter of Ed Stringer and the late Mrs. Stringer. She died in the Dublin Hospital on Thursday, February 12. Thelma, as she was called by all her friends, under went surgery a few months ago and had never completely recovered. She attended high school at Carlton and John Tarleton College at Stephenville. In 1929 she was united in marriage to Mack Faulkner who survives her.
Mrs. Faulkner taught school for a while, but for the past several years she had been manager of Winn's Store here in Dublin. She was an active worker in the Baptist Church until her illness prevented it.
Survivors besides her husband include her father, Ed Stringer; two sisters, Mrs. Claud Gibson and Mrs. Homer Davis; one brother, J. C. Stringer.
Pallbearers were R. H. Walker, Joe Henderson, Herbert Bell, M. N. Smith, Carl Childers and J. O. Williamson.
